Stardate Sidebar: So, again it appears that Kirk didn’t get around to finishing his mission log again. This time, he appears to wrap up some outstanding business while stranded on Miri’s planet, suffering from the effects of the genetically engineered rapid-aging disease. Given how closely “What Are Little Girls Made Of?” and “Miri” occur together, the events depicted in “Dagger of the Mind,” must occur somewhere between stardates 2155.0 and 2712.0 and likely just before the events of “What Are Little Girls Made Of?” in order for Kirk to be delayed in finishing his Captain’s Log. Further, this episode must also take place after Christmas, 2265 based on the dialogue of the episode.
