Star Trek: Prodigy (shall we call it “PRO”?) follows a motley group of teenagers who discover a derelict Starfleet vessel and use it to search for adventure, meaning, and salvation.
The show was announced on July 23, 2020, at Comic-Con@Home during the Star Trek Universe panel, and is the third animated series of the venerable franchise and the first computer-generated animated series. The show premiered on Paramount+ in 2021 as part of an effort to bring Star Trek to the Nickelodeon audience.
All episodes are listed for each season. Each episode is indicated with either a “W” for watch or an “S” for skip. I also opted to order my viewing in “chronological order,” as best determined by the episode’s initial stardate. If there isn’t a stardate, I placed it where it made the most sense relative to the other episodes. Eventually, each title will link to a post that explains the reasoning for seeing or skipping an episode.
Lastly, episodes marked as “essential” are indicated by an * in the “Ep. No.” column. Essential episodes are selected on a number of factors, including character development, other canon connections, and cultural impact. In other words, these are often the best of the best of each season.
Season One

Set five years after the adventures of the U.S.S. Voyager come to an end, a disparate group of alien youth escapes from a mining prison aboard the N.X. Protostar, an abandoned experimental Federation starship.

Season Two
Season Two of the Emmy-nominated series premieres on Netflix in 2024, following an extensive online and air campaign to save the series from “cancellation” after its removal from Paramount+ in June of 2023, even after CBS/Paramount had renewed the critically acclaimed series. With work nearly done on the second season, Netflix picked up the show for its platform.
