Stardate Sidebar: “Mudd’s Passion” chronologically occurs early in Season Three of The Original Series. There is one bit of dialogue that is a bit peculiar from Kirk in referencing Mudd (albeit sarcastically) as an “old friend” even though he would have seen Mudd less than four months prior in the episode “I, Mudd.”
